The Mozart Bike Path is named after the world-famous musician Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart, who was well-known in many locations in the region of Chiemgau. The Mozart Bike Path also passes through the idyllic mountain village of Reit im Winkl. Thus, this route crosses the border between Bavaria and Austria, and passes right through the most wonderful lakeside landscapes. With a length of 450 kilometres, the Mozart Bike Path takes the bikers through beautiful towns and villages in Bavaria, Salzburg and Tyrol.

Combine your excursions with your different cultural interests while biking on the Mozart Bike Path. Furthermore, during your bike tour you may enjoy a truly breath-taking natural scenery. If you plan on biking along the entire 450 km, you should definitely allow plenty of time for breaks. The Mozart Bicycle Itinerary includes for the most part regular bike paths – only ten per cent of the tour takes you on relatively traffic free roads. With an average distance of 40 kilometres per day, you will need around two weeks to cover the entire Mozart Bike Path.
